Okay, back to work...

"The time has come!" the Walrus said.

Yes, yes, I know I used this line before when it came to me getting off my ass and starting to write again, but now it's time to actually do it. Time to get back to what I was so good...okay, maybe good is not the word...so prolific at way back in high school, back when I could actually write more than one chapter every century.

Of course, these days I can't guarantee I'll have something written in a timely manner - I'm currently in the middle of working out the details to declare my candidacy for my PhD, and there's a load of other shit I likely and unfortunately have to deal with, so my mood and/or time is not always going to cooperate. Still, at least I have my writing spark back. These past few years, I've been sort of meandering about, but now the spark is flickering once more. All I have to do now is find the gasoline to set things ablaze.

So, let's get down to brass tacks and outline what I'm going to be doing over the summer in my spare time:

- Updating my Ancestral Trail blog. I've been meaning to finish this for a long time, and after all the scanning and writing, I only have 19 issues left. Over half way, and yet still not 3/4s there. But at least it's getting somewhere, and will get closer to the end over the summer.

- Update my thoughts on MST3K. Recently, I've decided to do something I've always wanted to do: watch Mystery Science Theater 3000 from the beginning (okay, from season 1) to end. I tried doing it once before, but midway through Season 3, I had an urge to write my thoughts on the movies and the riffing. Of course, by then, I had completely forgotten about whatever thoughts I may have had for Seasons 1 and 2, so it was pointless to write anything. But now I've had the chance to start over again and write my thoughts immediately after viewing the episodes, which I plan on doing on a (very) irregular basis.

- Oh, yes, update that fic many have been clamoring about. Yes, yes, I know. Really, I do. Do you know how many times a month I still get emails from people asking me to update and/or finish my Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time fic? I'm honestly amazed people still care enough about it to ask about it, but it's not going away, so I have to do what I should've done a couple years ago and finish the damn thing. I have a couple of new chapters finished, but as I have said before, I plan on releasing them much later once I've gotten something else finished, and that is still going to take a bit of time. Trust me, once I've gotten it finished, I'll log back into my old fanfiction.net account (I wonder if I can still remember the password?), post an update, and let everyone know what's going on. It will happen this summer...by Holy Hell, it's going to happen, or my name is Chewy McSlipperson.

Until next update, have a good one.

Comments:
I look forward to reading your thoughts on various subjects. =] I've seen a few episodes of MST3K and they always make me giggle.

As for the fanfic, that's great! I can't wait for the next chapter. It's going to fantastic -- there's been all this build-up to everything going on with Link, and you've been exploring his darker sides for a while now, with the climactic battle with Dark Link and such. And soon we're embarking on the freaking SHADOW Temple, the place where darkness comes to life! (makes me wonder why the game makers put Dark Link in the Water Temple instead of the Shadow Temple) I have a theory we're going to get a cameo of Dark Link in the Shadow Temple, but nothing too big or anything (considering it's "been there, done that"), probably just someone messing with Link's head if there is any cameo.

Regardless, yay for updates~! It's going to be great!

And good luck on your PhD. YOU'LL be great, just believe in yourself and work hard. Real Life comes first, so do well and show 'em all what you can do. =]
